And why do the countries like Georgia and Ukraine want to join. because they are understandably scared.

And as for Ukraine and Georiga willing to join NATO, that is a lot of crap...the governments do, the people don´t...the polls show that the majority would refuse, ofcourse there has never been a referendum on that matter.Antonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14022964681232503802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24528000.post-85984873976234034262008-03-28T10:57:00.000+00:002008-03-28T10:57:00.000+00:00Never said that US=USSR and as for American presen...Never said that US=USSR and as for American presence it is not always welcome, just look what happened in Iraq.

The CIA was and is fighting a war against bad guys.

Who are the bad guys then?
You do know that the CIA has supported and establiched more totalitarian regimes than any other organisation or special agency. The CIA has carried out more terrorist attacks in the last 20 years than Al Qaeda. Terrorism, separatism in Central America, support of Hussein in the Iran-Iraq, support for the Pol Pot Regime etc... is that what you mean by fighting the bad guys?

Advise you do some reading on Operation Phoenix in Vietnam, a great example of the CIA fighting for the noble cause! Some very hardcore stuff.

The Association for Responsible Dissent estimates that by 1987, 6 million people had died as a result of CIA covert operations.

The CIA has overthrown a great amount of democratic governments, the number is huge. Seriously you should do some research, you will be shocked with the list of CIA attrocities and the tyranny and suffering it has established.

http://www.mindcontrolforums.com/history-cia-atrocities.htmAntonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14022964681232503802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24528000.post-63491756718805901042008-03-28T09:54:00.000+00:002008-03-28T09:54:00.000+00:00CIA=KGB USA=USSR ? no way.For sure the USA and CIA...CIA=KGB USA=USSR ? no way.

For sure the USA and CIA deserve criticism but this is a very bad analogy

Show us the mass graves, the censorship, the poverty, and a lack of economic and personal freedom in the pax Americana. The Americans are chosing their president. We don't know who is going to win. There is a real choice.

NATO is a club that countries choose to join (and leave) when they want to. And why do the countries like Georgia and Ukraine want to join. because they are understandably scared.

Compare that to the farce election in Russia, or the attacks on Poland 1939, Hungary 1956, CSFR 1968 etc etc etc.Joining the Soviet empire was clearly not a choice.

The Soviets killed more of their own citizens than anyone else, and terrorised their "allies".

American bases are normally welcome and sought after, until -
as in the Philippines' Subic Bay - the locals vote against, and they leave.

There is nothing 'cool' about the KGB. I am not in favour of illegal methods and abduction. The CIA was and is fighting a war against bad guys.

It's good that we won the first cold war.Lambrookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10099390594844335506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24528000.post-69520402532766102072008-03-26T14:57:00.000+00:002008-03-26T14:57:00.000+00:00So are you comparing modern Russia to early Nazi G...So are you comparing modern Russia to early Nazi Germany and Soviet Union during the years of collectivisation and the Purges?

As for Primakov, he was the only honest man in the Yeltsin government, who unlike the rest of the gang, hasn´t robbed the country.

And for the biggest threat to Europe? Look westwards, once the US no longer needs the service of Europe it will do its best to break the EU.
--------------------------
To have a former KGB official running Russia as it would be to have a former SS colonel running Germany.

But it is Okay for a former head of CIA to run the White House??
To this day, the CIA is the biggest ``terrorist organisation``, with a history of assasinations, torture, coup d´était attempts like no other.
With thousands of illegal operations, jails, torture centres...

I´d much rather buy a Chomsky book, at least it has some real facts and ideas.Antonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14022964681232503802noreply@blogger.com
