I realise that you cannot be held responsible for someone else's words, but it makes me wonder whether Mr. Stephens needs to give the book a rather more careful reading, or whether he simply found in it what he wanted to find. After having heard him during the debate you moderated at the beginning of the year, and having read his "It's Time to Treat Russia As An Enemy" article, that wouldn't exactly surprise me.
I'm not sure how this review squares with your assertion at CFR that "I am absolutely not saying that the old Cold War is coming back."
